wheat flour chakali/chakli recipe is a healthy diwali snack recipe with khapli wheat flour, this atta chakli atta murukku is a healthy Diwali recipe for kids and for the whole family.
I used khapli wheat flour (emmer wheat) because it is low in gluten and has other health benefits, however you can use ordinary wheat flour instead.
Ingredients:
Wheat flour: 2 cups
Roasted rice flour: 1/2 cup
1 tbsp desi ghee
1/2 cup besan flour
1/2 tsp kalonji
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
Pink Himalayan Salt as needed
1 tbsp Kashmiri chilli powder
1/4 tsp hing
1 1/4 cups of water or as needed
wood pressed coconut oil as needed or any locally sourced oil from the place you live in
