Pimples, the unsightly bumps on the face, mainly those of young adolescents, can certainly undermine the confidence of youngsters. These occur mainly due to excess oil on the face, spicy and sweet foods and beverages, and at times also due to stress.
Take one leaf of aloe vera, and very carefully remove the outer green covering.
Extract the gel from within.
In 3 tlbsp of gel, add 1/4 tsp of haldi or turmeric powder.
Mix well, and apply over the face.
Leave it on for about 10 minutes, and then wash off.
Not only does aloe vera keep in check the oil on the face, it stimulates the growth of new cells, which help in erasing pimple marks.
Take 1 tlbsp of baking powder, and add in sufficient water to form a paste.
Dab this over the pimples, and leave it overnight.
Wash it off in the morning, and pat dry with a soft towel.
Take a handful of fresh mint leaves.
Wash them well and crush them.
Squeeze out the juice.
In 1 tsp of sandal wood powder, mix in enough juice to form a thick paste.
Apply this over the pimples, leave for 15 minutes, and wash off.
Just plain honey also works wonders by getting rid of bacterial infection on the skin. Apply it directly on the pimples, and wash off after 5-10 minutes.
Wrap a few cubes of ice in a clean thin towel.
Place this over the pimples for about 5-7 minutes.
Pat dry, and apply normal toothpaste.
This may sound strange, but it does work. However, make sure you do not use the gel toothpaste.
Keep your skin clean at all times, avoid sweets and oily foods, try to stay stress free, and see the pimples vanish.
