Ingredients for Prawn Biryani:

Prawns, shelled & deveined- 450-500 gms (net)
For marination:
Prawns
Salt- 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp

For the prawn masala/gravy:

Garam masala & whole spices:
Cinnamon- 2 pieces
Cloves- 4
Black cardamom- 1
Bay leaf- 2
Shah Jeera (Caraway seeds)- 1/2 tsp
Star Anise- 2

Ginger garlic paste- 3 tsp
Crushed green chillies- 2 nos
Tomatoes chopped- 3 medium sized red ones

Salt- 1/4 tsp
Red Chilli powder- 1.5 tsp
Coriander powder- 2 tsp
Cumin powder- 1/4 tsp
Green cardamom powder- 1/2 tsp

Fried onions (Birista), crushed- 3 medium onions
Whisked curd/yogurt- 2 tbsp
Juice of lemon- 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves chopped- 1/2 cup
Mint leaves chopped- 1/2 cup
Oil-3 tbsp
