Arhar Dal / Pigeon Pea – ¼ cup
Water – to soak and cook
Salt – to taste
For Nagori Tadka – Ghee – 3 tbsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Jeera / Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
Saunf / Fennel Seeds – ½ tsp
Heeng / Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
Ginger Chopped – 1 tsp filled
Garlic Chopped – ½ tsp
Dry Red Whole Chilli – 5-6 pieces
Onion – 1 medium chopped fine
Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp
Salt – to seaon
Kasoori Methi – 1 tsp + ½ tsp for tadka
Tomato – 1 chopped OR Amchoor Powder – 1 tsp
Degi Mirch – ½ tsp + ½ tsp for tadka
