Men are usually driven by sexual variety or novelty when they see coward affairs or infidelity. Women are more likely to be driven by emotional reasons, dissatisfaction in relationship or a desire to test drive a new relationship. A lot of times, women will begin to develop an emotional bond that frequently leads to a sexual relationship outside the primary one.

Whereas men usually begin with a sexual desire for novelty, variety or some sort of sexual fetish and often that leads to infidelity or an affair. Women who engage in affairs usually report relationship dissatisfaction whereas men frequently say they’re happily married. In fact, one research study showed that 60% of men who were engaged in an affair reported as being very happily married.

So obviously many men can compartmentalize their affair and their marriage and they believe that they can be happily married and have someone on the side at the same time. And I think that’s a, a very real difference between men and women is that women when they feel that they’re happily married and satisfied are far less likely to engage in a sexual affair outside the marriage.
