Lustrous Hair – Natural Home Remedies – How to get Silky, Smooth, Long, Shining Hair at Home
Thick lustrous hair is an enviable asset, but one which is becoming scarce. Stressful lifestyles, pollution, diets deficient in essential nutrients, all contribute to a lack-lustre crowning glory.
A few simple home remedies can go a long way in restoring the shine of your tresses.
Take a handful of fresh fenugreek leaves, also called methi.
Grind these to a paste.
Apply this paste to the scalp.
Leave it on for 10-15 minutes.
Wash it off with normal water.
A weekly treatment that you can follow is:
Mix 1 tlbsp of Indian gooseberry (called amla) in 2 tlbsp of coconut oil.
Gently heat this till it comes to a boil.
Let it cool to room temperature and strain it.
Massage well into scalp at bedtime.
Shampoo off the next morning,
Take 1-2 egg yolks (depending on the length of your hair.
Beat well, and add in 2 tlbsp of coconut oil and 3 tlbsp of water.
Mix this well and massage into the scalp.
After ½ an hour, shampoo your hair with a mild shampoo.
Do this on a weekly basis.
Drink plenty of water to ensure good hydration, eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, and see the lustre return in your hair.
