I’m going to talk to you guys a little bit about how to use eye primer. Eye primer is really great for letting eye shadow stick to your eyelid and last all day.

With Asian eyes, if they tend to be hooded, then it’s nice to have a little extra protection against having your eye shadow move throughout the day and having to reapply. What I like to do is take an eye shadow primer, sometimes they come in a wand, sometimes they come in a little pot. Whatever it is, take a little bit with your fingertip, and you just want to cover your entire eyelid. That is the most important thing. So, you want to go from the lash line, all the way up to the eyebrow. You want to cover anywhere you might put eye shadow. It should have primer on it, as well.

Some primers are sort of invisible and sheer like this one, and some of them have a little more color. It’s totally fine, whichever one you pick, as long as you make sure to go from the base of the lashes, all the way up to the eyebrow. Then of course, moving on to the next eye, same thing. From the lashes, all the way up to the eyebrow, covering the entire area. You don’t want it to have to be too thick. It’s nice to have sort of a sheer coverage of it, so there’s not too much product on your eye.

So, now that the eye primer is one, you are ready to do whatever eye makeup look you want to do next.
