Hi everybody. My name is Dhiran Mistry. I work for the John Barrett Salon at Bergdorf Goodman and I am here with Andrea today. We are going to show you how to turn a braid in to an up-do. As you can, Andrea already has a braid in her hair which we did very quickly. So what we are going to do today is show you how to turn this in to an up-do. The easiest thing to do, because it’s braided all the way down in to a pony, is just twist it up and then you wrap it around or wrap it underneath just to tuck it all away. Working with the hair as it is today, Andrea has thick hair so the braid is very big. So I am just going to twist it this way first and just add pins as I go. Because the hair is braided, it is very easy to tuck the pins into the hair because it has something to hold on to inside. So, I just want to make sure that it’s secure and those pins will slide right in to the hair. Now, depending on the look that you want to achieve, you can start braiding towards the top of the head and this will then end up now on the back of the head as opposed to the lower. This is a bit more of a classical look because it is a bit lower. Then any loose pieces, just grab a pin and just tuck them in. There you have it. A braid, into an up-do.
