HOW TO SEW A FACE MASK. HOW TO SEW A MEDICAL FACE MASK TUTORIAL. This mask is made of a breathable cotton fabric and can be washed and reused. This is a great beginner sewing project and a great way to help out your local hospitals during this COVID-19 pandemic. This pattern is available for free for this purpose. Please do not copy and re-sell this pattern. You may however make masks to sell from this pattern. Please contact me brie@homemadeonourhomestead.com if you have questions in regards to use and distribution.
If you don’t have elastic, you can also make ties to tie these masks instead. Please see the video linked below for detailed instructions on how to make the ties.
**You can also make ties for these masks and use in place of elastic since I understand theres a shortage. Check out my other face mask video to learn how you can make your own ties for these masks.**
If you are able to sew, but don’t have the resources and supplies to make these for donation, contact your local hospital. During these times of severe shortage of necessary PPE (personal protective equipment, many hospitals are providing kits to create masks for donation.
