How To Repair Damaged Hair Naturally With Jojoba Oil

I used to have horribly damaged hair. It was impossible to style and looked terrible!
But, I learnt hair care secrets that restored my beautiful hair! And it’s much simpler than you think!

Bleaching, straightening and curling your hair can cause a lot of damage!. But with the Indian heat and dust, even if you don’t do any of that your hair is bound to get damaged. But, I managed to get my hair back to its best. Here are my hair care secrets to treat damaged hair.

# DIY Mask 1: For Heat Damage

Excess heat is one of the most common causes of hair damage! If you’re someone who loves using straighteners or curlers then this mask is perfect for you! It’s ingredients moisturize, restore shine and protect hair strands.

You Will Need:

Honey
Coconut Oil
Aloe Vera Gel

This mask works because Aloe Vera is packed with vitamins and amino acids.
When absorbed by the hair follicles they add shine and volume to damaged hair!

Coconut oil is rich in vitamin E, and antioxidants.
It also contains lauric acid which protects your roots.
It’s antifungal and antibacterial properties prevent scalp infections.
Honey softens hair and is a great moisturizer.

# DIY Mask 2: For Bleached/ Coloured Hair

If you’ve coloured or bleached your hair often, odds are your hair is going to be dry! This hair mask will work wonders for you because it will moisturize tips, prevent split ends and give your hair volume!

You will need:

Coconut Milk
Olive Oil
Honey
Vitamin E supplements

It works because, Olive oil nourishes hair, making it stronger preventing any breakage.
Coconut milk is rich in lauric acid, protects roots and nourishes the hair shaft.
Vitamin E helps repair dry and damaged hair.

# DIY Mask 3: For Dry/ Damaged Hair

If your hair is extremely dry and you’re suffering from split ends then this deep moisturizing mask is perfect for you! It’s rich in fatty acids and soluble vitamins that is perfect for dry/ damaged hair.

You will need:
Unsalted Butter
Full fat, unboiled milk
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Honey
Vegetable glycerin

This works because, butter is rich in fatty acids and vitamins so it’s extremely moisturizing. Milk is rich in vitamin E and proteins which repairs damaged hair making it shinier and softer. Olive oil is high in antioxidants. Jojoba oil prevents hair loss, cleans hair follicles and fights dandruff. Glycerin will give your hair a glossy coat.
I prefer using unrefined, cold pressed Jojoba oil from Saathwa. It’s high quality and works very well for damaged hair.

DIY Conditioner:

Aside from these hair masks I sometimes prefer making my own conditioner.

You will need:
Eggs
Olive oil
Honey
Vinegar
Lemon juice
It works because eggs contain protein and add shine to your hair. Olive oil makes hair stronger, honey moisturizes hair and vinegar helps maintain the Ph balance of the hair.
