Tennis is my life and my passion. I live for it and now I would like to talk to you about tennis. I’d like to tell you and explain to you how to play doubles. Doubles is a little bit different than singles, because when you play singles you’re completely responsible for yourself. In doubles you need to find someone that you’re compatible with, you understand each other really well and also it would be a very good thing if the person has, you know, everything which is person can serve, volley and very good at the ground strokes as well. It’s good to be with someone who is positive and not get down on you and not get down on himself or herself. Another thing, the difference between singles and doubles, in doubles we’re also going to use the alley right here, right here. In singles we are not using the alley at all; we’re just using the singles court. Very important thing in doubles, you need to be very good at the volleys, over head and very important to serve. It’s recommended that you have the very good first serve, because you’re setting up a point and you can win the point easily if you have a good serve. Because someone can cover you and when the person is standing at the net, they can finish the point by using volleys. You’re starting to serve over here a little bit closer to alley line. The reason why; you need to be able to cover this part of the court and this side of the court as well, which is the middle of the court. And your partner is standing at the net. He is standing, getting ready and again this position is perfect because, if he gets a shot that goes in the alley, I can cover that shot right here or if the ball goes in the middle of the court, I can also cover the shot right here.
