How to Lighten Dark Elbows and Knees – Natural Home Remedies for Quick Results

Do you feel conscious and embarrassed to wear short-sleeved dresses because of dark elbows, or even skirts with hemlines that ride above the knees because of darkened knees?
Well, how do your elbows and knees become dark in the first place? If you notice, the skin around the elbows and knees has many folds, is thicker and drier than other parts of the body. This is due mainly to friction and pressure, other reasons being pigmentation, obesity, hormonal imbalance, and even too much time spent in the sun.
Well, ladies, I am going to show you some simple remedies to tackle this problem.

Take about 1 teaspoon of malai, the cream floating on top of the milk, in a bowl.
Add a generous pinch of turmeric powder.
Mix it, and gently massage it into the skin over the knees and elbows.
Let the paste dry and then wash it off.

Mix a tsp of turmeric powder with a tsp of besan powder, or gram flour.
Add just enough rose water to make a fine paste.
Apply the paste to elbows and knees, let it dry, and then wash it off with water.

Take about two to three tablespoons of besan in a bowl.
Add some lime juice till it becomes a semi thick paste.
Apply the paste on to the elbows and knees, and rub it into the skin for some time.
Let the paste dry and then wash it off

Tip: Take care of your hygiene and drink lots of water to maintain a healthy life and good skin.
