How to Knit: Stripes (Part I) – Two Ways to Change Yarn Colour & Add Single Stripes | For Beginners
This is the first part of my mini video series all about how to knit stripes (in flat knitting).
This knitting tutorial is aimed at beginners and covers 2 slightly different ways of adding a different colour yarn into your knitting at the start of a row.
One way weaves in the yarn tail as you knit, and the other requires you to weave the yarn tail in separately later on.
Both ways require the yarn to be cut after knitting the stripe (rather than ‘carrying yarn’ up the side of your knitting to be used again in due course).
The next videos will deal with how to carry yarn up the side of your knitting.
I hope this video is useful to you…
Thanks for watching!
