How to Knit: Herringbone Stitch Pattern | Chevron Texture Knitting Tutorial | Zig-Zags

This knitting tutorial shows you how to knit the herringbone pattern to produce a chunky texture that is nice and cosy!

Beginners can try this stitch, but it might be a bit more of a challenge than other patterns due to the tightness of the yarn whilst knitting.
I definitely recommend using larger diameter needles than it recommends on your yarn label (especially if you’re a naturally tight knitter anyway), just to try and loosen the stitches a little and make it easier for yourself.

Cast on an even number of stitches.

The 2-row pattern repeat is as follows:
Row 1 (& every odd-numbered row):
*k2tog tbl, drop only 1 stitch
Repeat from * until you have 1 stitch remaining, then knit 1
Row 2 (& every even-numbered row):
*p2tog, drop only 1 stitch
Repeat from * until you have 1 stitch remaining, then purl 1

I hope you have fun learning this new pattern. Thanks for watching!
