Climate
Guava trees originated in the tropics and require a suitably warm, frost-free climate. However, ironically, guavas produce fruit most reliably in areas with a defined winter season.
Growing Conditions
Plant guavas in moist soil with southern sun exposure. Avoid lawns or other irrigated areas because the excess moisture may slow their growth or cause premature death.
