How to Draw The Moon: Step by Step Pencil Drawing

Step 1: Draw a circle freehand or draw around something.
Step 2: Draw a horizontal line.
Step 3: Draw a big circle above the line, for the moon.
Step 4: Draw some indications of craters and impact marks on the moon.
Step 5: Smudge the moon in areas.
Step 6: Draw the outline of a reflection in the sea.
Step 7: Draw some marks to indicate waves.
Step 8: Smudge the waves.
Step 9: Draw the sky behind the moon, dark at the horizon line and getting darker higher up.
Step 10: Make the sky even darker.

Note: For this drawing I used a 4B and an 8B pencil. Any soft dark pencil will do, best to use the side of the pencil when making soft shading.
