How to Draw Mario Bros – Piranha Plant – Easy Pictures to Draw Step by Step

In this video lesson I go over how to draw the piranha flower plant from nintendo. It’s the dangerous plant that’s from the Mario brothers series. Its probably the absolute most famous angry plant in the entire franchise of games. It’s a very recognizable Nintendo character. When I think of Nintendo it is one of the first images that pops into my mind. I Really hope you like the rendition and that it helps you in the future.

Mario has had more impact on me than any other video game character. The very first video game I had ever played was Mario Bros on the original Nintendo. And while the majority of the game entertained me , there were some scary levels. The levels underground scared me as a kid. And anything underwater also scared me. I even have some of that mild fear for water levels today as an adult lol.

Mario Kart is probably the party game I played more than any other. Its been at so many events and Christmas gathers. And Super Smash Brothers is basically in my blood. That game was my heart and soul for so long. I hope you love this drawing tutorial from the heart 😀
So one thing about this plant is that its design is deceptively simple. Looking at it , its easy to think that the plant is simple to draw.

I’m gonna go over this whole process with you step by step. The truth is that it is indeed simple, but there are a few key points you might miss that could completely change its design.

The roundness and the simplicity of parts can be over deceiving. When you look at design, simplicity is the hallmark of design. If you think of characters in the Mario universe, if you move any of their features around , it can massively throw off the entire look and feel of the character.

I use a marker because I think it’s the easiest to illustrate a point with. I think that its easy to see on camera and very simple to understand.
