A root touch-up keeps your hair looking fresh and new at all times as well as conceals the greys that may have started to peek out. Once you have coloured your hair, you’ll require to do a root touch-up every 6 to 8 weeks.

If you go in for safe hair colour that is ammonia free then you don’t even need to worry about damaging your hair at all. While choosing the colour for your root touch-up, make sure you use the same shade as the rest of your hair for a seamless, well blended look.

Since DIYs can be tricky, we have our hair expert Ishita Thakkar who has shown an easy step-by-step method to do a salon perfect root touch up AT HOME!

Here’s what you need:
Hair Colour (Creme & Developer) Ishita has used Godrej Expert Rich Creme in the shade Natural Brown.
Petroleum Jelly
A Mixing Bowl and a Hair Colour Brush.
A Tail Comb to easily divide your hair into sections.
