IBS is best understood as a long-term or recurrent disorder of gastrointestinal functioning. It usually involves the large intestine (colon) and small intestine with disturbances of bowl motion
These gut related activities are regulated by the brain. This may also be impaired, which is why IBS is often called a brain-gut disorder.
These disturbances can produce symptoms of abdominal pain or discomfort, bloating or a sense of gaseousness, and a change in bowel habits ie excessive constipation or excessive diarrhoea
According to Ayurveda these problems occur because of eating too much unhealthy food, excessive alcohol drinking, exercising too soon after eating, forcing or restraining natural urges, taking chemical drugs. Accumulation of toxins ( AMA) in the body, too much stress, and bad digestive system
Now what to do
Doing exercise, yoga meditation daily will help at lot
Eat easy to digest food & freshly cooked foodonly when you feel hungry Avoid long intervals between two meals, Eat fresh fruits & vegetables everyday
Avoid sleeping at day time because it increases khapa in your body
While you are trying to treat this you must follows a strict schedule of waking and sleep, exercise and rest, meals
Work on improving immunity can use guduchi/ giloy for this
Use of ginger is highly recommended , you simply boil it in water and drink as tea 2 times a day
Or can take in powder form with black salt 30 min before food
Cloves , cardamom, most important turmeric is recommended in these problems
Drinking coriander water will be help full
Now first to use is triphala the best thing to improve digestion and clean out toxins from your body
Can use this 30 min after food with warm water
For stress related problem use of Brahmi and aswagandha is recommended
