Unlike fat on the stomach, back and armpit fat are not linked to any type of life-threatening conditions but it can look very unsightly if there is too much of it.
This becomes especially apparent during the summer months when strapless shirts, bathing suits, and form-fitting shirts show off the bulge that fat in these areas make.
With this said, there are several ways you can actually combat this fat to make it disappear.
1. Make Sure You Are Getting In Your Cardiovascular Routines. Choose to do exercises like jogging, swimming, and cycling as these will get your heart rate up and burn away those calories.
Your heart and lung systems will thank you as they will get stronger with the more cardio you do.
2. Utilize High Interval Training. You can burn a high number of calories by doing a high-intensity interval training routine as these routines use up more energy to get back to its natural restoration point during the pre-exercise state.
Sprinting is the most common exercise for this.
3. Build Up Lean Muscle Mass. Lean muscle mass helps you burn more calories because it raises your body’s natural metabolism.
Make sure that when you are building up your lean muscle mass, you do compound exercises that involve multiple groups of muscles at the same time with as little rest as possible in between the sets that you do.
Common exercises include squats, lunges, deadlifts, push-ups, pull-ups, dips, and chest presses.
4. Control How Much Sugar You Eat. If you eat too much sugar or foods that are high in fat, you are going to consume too many calories.
If you are consuming too many calories than what your body can expend as energy, then you are going to have excess fat.
Since extra sugar or glucose gets turned into fat, this is where those bulges are coming from.
Instead, choose to forego junk foods and only eat heart-healthy fats and as little sugar as possible.
5. Choose to Practice Good Posture. We are always told to sit up straight and maintain a good posture, but not many of us actually practice this actively.
When you slouch over, it affects how your body appears to others.
This will, in turn, cause you to bunch up your skin, creating that bulge you hate.
6. Wear The Right Size Bra. Although we all know that we should be wearing the right size of bra, the wrong size can actually cause your skin to bunch up in and around the armpit.
