Aloo Katli Masala | Masaledar Aloo Katli | Aloo Katli Fry | Masaledar Aloo Fry
Ingredients:
– Potatoes, cut into roundels (katli)- 500 gms
– Mustard seeds (Sarson)-1/2 tsp
– Cumin seeds(Jeera)- 1/2 tsp
– Crushed peppercorns- 1 tsp
– Red Chilli Flakes- 1 tsp
– Tomato Ketchup- 2 tbsp
– Mint leaves, fine chopped – 2 tbsp
– Salt – 1/2 tsp or to taste
– Oil for deep frying the potato roundels
– Oil for sautéing-1 tbsp
Preparation:
Cut the potatoes into roundels
Process :
– Take a kadhai & put in oil sufficient to deep fry the roundels.
– Deep fry the potato roundels (katli) till golden yellow.
– Now take 1 tbsp of oil in a kadhai.
– When the oil is hot, add the mustard seeds.
– Once it splutters, add the cumin seeds, fry for few seconds & then add the potato roundels.
– Give it a mix.
– Now add salt & crushed peppercorns. Sauté for a minute.
– Add the tomato ketchup. Mix it well so that all the spices & ketchup coat the roundels well.
– Now add the red chilli flakes & finely chopped mint leaves.
– Mix well & sauté for 2-3 mins.
– Serve hot.
