Embellished Bangles:
Bangles are that jewellery that goes well with almost every outfit, be it formal, traditional, or western. And embellished embroidery bangles are the best accessory to wear with any traditional outfit. So, why not make some ourselves?
Materials needed:
Bangles
Embroidery thread
Stone chain (https://goo.gl/tpHMML)
Fevi-kwik
Method:
1. Take a plain bangle, and with some fevi-kwik, stick some embroidery thread on the inner edge of the bangle.
2. Stick the stone chain carefully on the outer edge of the bangle.
3. Now, insert the embroidery thread in between each stone and twist along the bangle all the way until the thread covers the entire bangle. Make 2 to 3 twists between each stone.
4. Secure the final thread and stones by sticking it in place using fevi-kwik.
5. Voila! Your bangles are ready to adorn your hands.
Thread Earrings:
With geometrically shaped accessories being the craze right now, wouldn’t everyone want to wear some themselves? But, why not give it a different look by adding just one element?
Materials needed:
Paper clip
Embroidery threads
Small ring
Hook (https://goo.gl/Wybnc6)
Nose Plier
Fevi-kwik (Or any adhesive)
Method:
1. Using a nose plier (https://goo.gl/sDpNhe) and open up the paper clip and bend until it forms a triangular shape (or any other shape you desire). Stick the edges together so that it won’t get separated.
2. Start twisting the embroidery thread around the edges of the entire triangle shaped paper clip.
3. Again wrap the thread horizontally around the triangle until it is completely covered.
4. Stick the edge with some fevi-kwik.
5. Fix the ring and hook on the top.
6. Voila! Your pretty handmade earrings are ready to be worn.
Tassel Earrings:
Another simple to make yet pretty to wear accessory would be tassel earrings. After all, who doesn’t find the charm of those simples tassel appealing and attractive? So, here is a little tutorial on how to make one.
Materials:
Embroidery threads
Card board
Earrings (Ring type)
Method:
1. Take a small piece of cardboard and start making 30 wraps around it with embroidery thread.
2. After that cut the edge off and take the bunch of thread out from the card board.
3. Now cut the folded part of the bunch, as shown.
4. Wrap the thread in the earring and secure it in place by wrapping another piece of embroidery thread around it and knotting it tightly. Cut off the excess.
5. Start making more tassels for the earrings.
6. Voila! Your pretty earrings are ready to be adorned.
TIP: Wear gloves while handling fevi-kwik to avoid getting it stuck to your fingers.
