What are bacteria? – Science for Kids
Educational video for children to learn what bacteria are. Bacteria are microorganisms, so they are not visible in plain sight; but with the help of a microscope, they are. Among the main characteristics of bacteria is the fact that they are unicellular, prokaryotic (they don’t have a nucleus), living organisms capable of living in any environment on Earth. Also, thanks to this video the little ones will learn about the structure and parts of bacteria: the flagellum, the cell membrane, the ribosomes, the cytoplasm and the nucleoid. They will learn about the different types of bacteria as well: bacilli, cocci and spirilla, and how they spread, behave and what effect antibiotics have on them.
