Headache:
Headaches are a very common phenomenon, because they can occur due to several reasons. These are mostly related to our stressful lifestyles, which cause exhaustion and inadequate sleep. Whatever the cause, headaches can be quite debilitating. Try these simple tips, which can provide some respite.
Knee Pain:
Knee pain is a common condition that can be caused by both short-term and long-term problems. Many short-term knee problems do not need any help from doctors and people can often help with their own recovery. Home remedies can also help with many of the long-term problems with knee pain. Get off your feet and apply a cold compress or bag of ice to the knee. Frozen vegetables, such as peas, will also work if you have no ice handy. Wrap your knee with a compression bandage to prevent swelling, but not so tightly it cuts off circulation. While you’re resting, keep your foot elevated.
Toothache:
Toothache, also known as dental pain, is pain in the teeth and/or their supporting structures, caused by dental diseases or pain referred to the teeth by non-dental diseases. When severe it may impact sleep, eating, and other daily activities. Common causes include inflammation of the pulp, usually in response to tooth decay, dental trauma, or other factors, dentin hypersensitivity (short, sharp pain, usually associated with exposed root surfaces), apical periodontitis (inflammation of the periodontal ligament and alveolar bone around the root apex), dental abscesses (localized collections of pus, such as apical abscess, pericoronal abscess, and periodontal abscess), alveolar osteitis (“dry socket”, a possible complication of tooth extraction, with loss of the blood clot and exposure of bone), acute necrotizing ulcerative gingivitis (a gum infection, also called “trenchmouth”), temporomandibular disorder and others.
Arthritis:
Arthritis is very common but is not well understood. Actually, “arthritis” is not a single disease; it is an informal way of referring to joint pain or joint disease. There are more than 100 different types of arthritis and related conditions. People of all ages, sexes and races can and do have arthritis, and it is the leading cause of disability in America. More than 50 million adults and 300,000 children have some type of arthritis. It is most common among women and occurs more frequently as people get older.
Gastric Problems:
Gastritis is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach, which manifests as a cramping in the stomach, a feeling of the belly being on fire, being bloated, nausea and vomiting. If you look at the reasons why gastritis occurs, they are mainly bad eating habits and bad choices of food. Eating at erratic hours or just before bedtime, overindulgence in spicy and oily food, excessive intake of tea, coffee and alcohol, can all trigger gastritis.
