How to Knit Double Seed Stitch | Easy Knit/Purl Pattern | Knitting Lessons for Beginners
This easy pattern creates a reversible texture that gives a subtle checkerboard effect.
Double seed stitch is an excellent pattern for beginners to add to their repertoire as it only consists of the basic knit stitches and purl stitches.
Pattern:
First cast on a multiple of 4 stitches, plus 2.
Rows 1 and 4: Knit 2, *(purl 2, knit 2); repeat from * to end of row.
Rows 2 and 3: Purl 2, *(knit 2, purl 2); repeat from * to end of row.
Repeat rows 1-4
