The reason for this is that a light foundation can’t cover your flaws. You need a smarter way to ensure that the blemish doesn’t create an uneven look on the face.

So, what exactly is reverse contouring? Here you use the highlighting colour to create an impression of depth. Highlights can be use on the forehead, the bridge of nose, the areas around the eyes, hollows of the cheek bones and also the lip area. Just remember that you can pretty much cover, conceal and highlight any area that you wish to show off or cover up. The trick is to get this makeup technique right.

Follow these easy steps to get the right look.

Steps to do this Reverse Contouring Makeup:-

• Start off by using a highlighter pen by Mac, draw some lines on the center of the forehead, on the bridge of the nose and under the cheek bones.

• This pen can used on the areas where ever you want to highlight.it could be on the chin, upper lip area etc.

• Take a soft sponge and start blending all the highlighted area.

• Once the highlights have been blended well, take a cream based contour and use it under the sides of the nose.

• Take a brush and start contouring the hollows of the cheeks.

• The trick is to use a shade which is 2 or 3 shades darker than your skin colour to get the correct effect.

• Blend the same colour from the cheek to the temple area. Ensure that no sharp lines are seen.

• Cover the under eye area with a foundation and concealer to get an even look.

• Make sure you blend the make up well on the face to give an even look.

• To finish the look, use a liquid lip gloss on the lips.
