Dhaba Style Dal Tadka :
Boiled/cooked dal -1/2 cup
Ginger -1/2 tsp
Garlic -1/2 tsp
Green chilli -1
Onion – 1/4 cup
Tomato – 1/4 cup
Asafoetida(hing)- 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
Dry red chilli .-2
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Ghee – 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves oil -2 tbsp
Cooking
Sambar style dal:
Boiled dal – 1/ 2 cup
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
Asafoetida -1/4 tsp
Garlic cloves – 4
Onion – 1/4 cup
Drumstick
Pumpkin
Carrot
Potato
Curry Leaves
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Sambar or Kitchen king masala -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil- 2 tbsp
Dal palak-
Boiled dal-1 /2 cup
Spinach (palak)- 1 cup
Green chilli -2
Cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
Garlic cloves -3
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder-1/4 tsp
Tamarind paste – 1 tsp
Jaggery (grated)- 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
Tomato dal –
Boiled dal – 1/2 cup
Tomato – 2 (large)
Onion -1
Garlic cloves -3
Curry leaves
Onion-1/4 cup
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil – 2 tbsp
Dal Do pyaza:
Boiled dal – 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon stick – 1 inch
Mace (javitri)
Black cardamom
Dry red chilli -2
Onion -2 large
Tomato -1
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
Cumin powder-1/4 tsp
Coriander powder – 1/4 tsp
Black pepper powder -1/4 tsp
Garam masala powder-1/4 tsp
