Ingredients:
Amla(gooseberry)- 500 gms
Gud (jaggery)- 500 gms
Water – 1 cup
Method:
Wash the gooseberry before use
Prick it properly
Soak it in alum water for 4-5 hours
Squeeze it and let it dry under the sun for 3-4 hours
Heat a pan and add 500 gms of jaggery.
Boil it for 5 minutes on medium flame
Add Amla and boil it for 15 minutes on medium flame.
Take out the amla and let the jaggery boil for another 3-4 minutes
Add amla again, boil it for another 15 minutes on low medium flame
Turn off the flame and let it cool down.
Leave it for 24 hours to absorb the syrup
Ready to eat
